Anybody know if its possible to buy just a '02 headlight lens off ebay or the dealership or even privately...due to my headlight lens being all hazed out and stuff dont want to buy a new set just because it looks somewhat bad!!
or any suggestions on how to clean them besides the meguires plastx(curious if that works good or not also!)...
meguires works good but not for extreme hazing.. and it doesnt last that long if you just use it by itself.. youd have to buy something else i forget what i had.. it basically treats the lens for further hazing, but then it goes back to crap after 3 or 4 months..
just get new headlights, save yourself a waste of time.
or another option, you can get them professionaly treated and buffed and all that for like 60 bucks.. check on craigslist for shops or mobile people around you
they have headlamp repair kits where you use sandpaper to clean it up, then progressively finer grits of paper to polish it and as a last step some plastx or scratchx. but then you need to get a plastic protectant and use it regularly because the plastic will discolor from the sun faster. its easier to get some new headlamps but its expensive, and the ones on ebay are usually terrible quality. i got a few there that say good spahe but the lens were all pitted and scratched. its always junkyard stuff.

thanks for the replies guys but im really not interested in buying a whole new headlight just the lens itself....the only one that is hazed is my left one and its really not that bad..i wouldnt say it is extreme so maybe i will try the meguires! but i have to take the headlight apart thats not very fun but yeah...
any other suggestions of other products or something i dont know if i want to sand just in case i make it worse somehow cause then i would need to buy a new one...
why take headlight apart? all the damage is on the outside. im sure the inner lens is fine. if you dont like sandpaper, get turtle wax rubbing compound. it should remove the bad stuff and make plastic smooth. then use a polisher like plastx to bring the shine back.
Make sure the lenses come from the exact same headlight as yours or you may have fitment issues.
Headlights from different sources (OEM Honda, after market, coupe, sedan) are sometimes not built with the same contact points (where the black housing meets the clear plastic).
It's possible it could be in the inside though. What if there was moisture inside the housing? If left long enough in there, especially with the sun, wouldn't it haze up in the inside? I was just wondering because I thought that would happen if i didn't clear the moisture in my headlights a few months ago.
almost always, its the uv protective coating on the outside that is applied to the polycarbonate lens that starts to yellow after a while. once you do the sandpaper and polish, you strip it away and leave just the exposed plastic, which will also start to yellow after a few months. which is why you should always seal them with a good plastic sealer every month like the wolfgang stuff. if you take care of them from the start, this would not be a problem now.
buy a bunch of different grit sandpaper, going from rough to smooth (the smoothest i think is 2000 grit which is the really fine grey paper for wetsanding. start with big sandpaper, then go smaller and smaller, then use the rubbing compound which polishes even less than sandpaper, after than they should be smooth but dull. so you use a plastic polish like plastx to bring the shine back.
