Tail Light Installation... Help Please.

Hi guys I'm new to this forum. I just ordered these tail lights from ebay. I have installed euro tail lights which are pretty easy. These ones are a little different. I'm not really sure how to hook the LED rings up. Theres little bullet connectors coming out of each LED ring. No instructions were included and I tried contacting the seller and he said get a professional to install them. I thought maybe there was some sort of harness to be included, I also contacted the seller about the parts that are included and he said I received everything. So if anyone has these tail lights or has installed them can I get some help please. This is a pic of the tail lights, there is 2 wires coming off the LED ring with male type bullet connectors. I hope theres no splicing involved. Thanks

nah I'll be losing money then. No one has these around here, everyone has the euro tails which are played out. These should look pretty slick on my black civic.

Re: Tail Light Installation... Help Please.

I would just splice away. The two wires coming out are going to be a ground and a +12V power feed. They may even be interchangeable. If the wires are the same color, hook one up any ground wire back there and then the other up to the 12V feed of whichever input you want them to function on (turn signals or brakes), and give it a whirl!

Re: Tail Light Installation... Help Please.

yeah you can wire them to whatever using + and - power and ground. but im not sure how those tails operate. are there regular bulbs for the brake/tail and the rings are just for looks? or are they supposed to be tail/brake usage.

Re: Tail Light Installation... Help Please.

Yah I think splicing is the only option. The LED Rings are used for the brake lights. And the signal and reverse bulbs go inside. Thanks for your input guys.

Re: Tail Light Installation... Help Please.

Hey just bought a set and found that the black is the ground that you want to wire straight to the body. The orange wire is spliced into existing harness for either park, brake or turn lights. I am going to rig one for the turn signal and the other for the brake. Oh ya, I bought mine from the same weiners that know nothing about what they sell. but, the lights do look awesome. In fact I bought a pair of these lights for my gmc truck. Hope you like yours as well as I like mine.
