Hi, I want to buy a Secret Weapon Intake for my 03 Civic Ex Sedan AT. i was wondering if it is going to require additional work to install the intake?, I heard that you may have to relocate the fuse box, does anyone know this for sure? I have the installation instructions but did notsee anything about the fuse box.
The part is "SW Intake 2001-05 Honda Civic EX / HX / LX / DX"
Model: 301-140-101

isnt that intake a sri? i dont think any relocation is needed could be wrong though... dont mark my word lol. but I believe this intake maybe the same design as other intakes just with a diff filter.
the secret weapon intake is different from other SRI's in that it has a smaller diameter tube inside which forces air to rush in a bit faster than if it were just a single opening.
nah its just a single pipe. they found that for our cars, the dual chamber doesnt have any added benefit. i like mine, its pretty quiet and the filter is good. i had to extend my intake temp sensor wires and make a ghetto bracket to hold it up. but otherwise its a good intake. i relocated my fuse box so i could put my HVS in a visible spot. you dont need to for the intake tho even tho its easy you just move the fusebox down above the trans.
I got the intake installed now, works great. I was not able to find anywhere to attach the two mounting brackets thaat came with the intake, does anybody know how that is done?
Also should i reset my ecm or unhook the negative battery cable after it is installed or will will it make a difference?
it wont matter, the ecu adjusts the a/f anyway what little it needs to. i bought a small bracket from hardware store and tied it to the intake with metal wire and also ziptied it to the cruise box. its a bit rough but it holds the intake straight.
