center console 01-03 to 04/05

is the center console from 04-05 transferable to 01-03? I really like the armrest that comes in 04/05 and if it's a direct swap I might be getting one.

if ur talking about a coupe into a coupe, then yes.....

and its 01-02 and 03-05.... 03+ is the one with the armrest

mine is a lx so it doesnt have armrests

i have a friend with an 03 lx coupe. he has it. i wanna steal it from him. i have an 01-02

but then again, i have a RSX seat so iono if itd fit.

^ honda makes an armrest you can buy, handa has it. Its like 50-60 bucks. Bolts into the drivers seat. Folds up and down. Yeah, its basically an armrest, but not part of the center console.

My thinking for why they ended up building it into the center console is kuz when ppl with the armrest in the drivers seat needed to remove the center console, it was in the way, and you had to take out the seat... and if u have side air bags, and the connectors... pain in the ass. Anyways. To each their own. I also heard it gets in the way when your shifting, but that may or may not be a problem for you.

I have an 04' sedan DX w/ the armrest there, and it's soooo comfy, and you have a cool storage compartment under it too

yeah check out HandA's DIY models to see what the difference is between the two consoles.. I bet it's easily swappable

the one that bolts into the seat came with my car and ive taken the center console out a few times, plenty of room you dont need to remove anything. also when its folded up it wouldnt get in the way of shifting

yeah i know about that one, the one that comes on ex right? anyway my friend has it and he hates it because it gets in the way when shifting, that's why i wanna do the 01 to 04 swap.

yep the handrest that comes with the 01-02 ex models is annoying...i dont even use it because u cant shift with it at all...ive thought about swapping my center console as well...i just might give it a try

And no you dont have to take out the whole seat to remove the center console on a 01-02 coupe with the armrest
