why are spark plug wires so expensive?

am I looking at the wrong places I was looking for some spark plug wires for my 02 civic, and I was seeing prices in the hundreds, I know I am a dumb ass but please help me out

Uh, our cars dont need wires because we have the coils directly over the cyl.

I'll let you in on a secret. Our ignition is coil based and does not use wires.

i dont know, maybe cause you need them?? you should get a kia, they dont use plug wires. thats what i heard... lol

Reminds me of people that come in and say their A/C doesn't work.....open the hood to find out they don't have A/C...

There are the plasma booster things. I cant find the link. Thats what you can upgrade, and they also have upgraded wires that go to those. What are the 4 things that go above the spark plug. I cant think of the damn word, so I cant find the site.

Ignition Coil, this type of ignition can be called direct, DIS (distributorless ignition system), Coil On Plug, among other things.
