I agree. Doesn't even sound like an AEM product. My AEM CAI fits like a glove.

My injen RD Series Intake

In my 2005 here are the specs on my RD Series Intake made by Injen

FIT 5= Fit perfect took like 10 minutes to put on and that was just removing the old box and removing and replacing screws

POWER 4 = very noticeable ) alot of gain compared to stock

Loudness 4= Pretty loud hear like a wind tunnel sound when i turn my car on which sounds awesome and when it shifts i love the sound it makes. In fact I installeded it before i installed my exhaust just so i could hear what it sounded like.

CAI = Cold Air Intake, AS= Aluminized Steel,

all around I think awesome intake

Gains: 3 (Not great but it is noticeable)
Loud: 5 (loud, deep, and whistles like crazy when engine's cold)

loud: 2 (below 4k rpms you can barely hear it except for a deep rumble. Punch it and everyone's gonna be staring)

overall this intake beats aem sri by far and even feels better than fipk. I have a custom heat shield in the works now to block some engine heat. We'll see what happens on the dyno. I only had a chance to drive in hot weather for now and can still feel gains even with "heat soak."
sounsd like the one i should get

i personally think the iceman is better then the fipk. so i'd say it's a toss up between iceman and k&n typhoon.

Intakeage

Fit 1 to 5: How well does it fit the car without or with modifications
1=fit like hell, all the way to, 5=fit perfect.

Power 1 to 5: 1=less power than stock, 2=about the same as stock, 3=some gains, 4=very noticeable, 5=Feels like its been boosted

Loudness 1 to 5: Volume 1= Quieter than stock to 5= Loud

After the name is the type and material: SRI = Short Ram Intake, CAI = Cold Air Intake, AS= Aluminized Steel, HAP = Hard Plastic

FIT- 2, ALWAYS FUN TO MOD AND MAKE IT WORK
POWER-4 IT WAS VERY LARGE GAIN THAT I COULD FEEL
LOUDNESS-2 NOT LOUD, UNLESS ITS COLDER THAN YOUSUAL
TYPE/MAT: COL AIR INTAKE, K&N

SHAAAZAM

Thumbs up Ractive SRI

Ractive SRI, AS

Fit - 5 - Only took about 10 minutes to put on... No problems

Power - 3 - About the same as any SRI out there IMO

Loudness - 4 - Very deep, until you hit about 4500 rpm....

AEM CAI 1998 Honda Prelude Type SH
First impression=Wow i lost power this sucks
Fit=1 had to cut into the sheet metal for it to fit ,even then it rubbed metal to metal.
Power=2 Lost power low to mid range.
Loudness=3 about the only thing that i liked about it hissing when revved.
Value=2 AEM CAI was a waste of money.
Final thought=Re installed my stock resonator that was a son of a bitch!!,airbox, and intake.Looks all better now.Thinking about getting the JDM Type S intake

Weapon r Secret Weapon
Fit:5 Fit perfect
Power: 2.5
Sound:4 Pretty Loud
Value:2.5

Its a nice looking intake and added some top end power but i lost so much tourqe i had no choice but to reinstall the stock air box. I feel like i paid to much to at 250 shipped. I do miss the sound though. plan on getting the iceman. heard it is the best for overall power, especially tourqe.
