thanx! well I have another quick quesiton. when its all said and done with, on engine parts for our engine...like for an intake, pnp, throttle body, pistons, rods, valves, etc. to beef up our D17 how much HP are we talking (including exhaust) because i've got some money saved up and I dunno if its worth to spend all that money on beefin up a D17 or keep saving for a swap...but first off i wanna know approx. how much hp could our engines get with those mods i listed above. thanx

Hopefully I can get my car tuned on a dyno before winter. I have a port/polish head, and the TB is getting bored out in a week or so. Then I have vafc for air/fuel that needs tuning. It won't be much of a gain I think. Our cars are built more for low emissions.

I got thinking about that Gearbox....do you have an aftermarket flywheel? If so...getting a flywheel that is too light could cause your car to idle rough and stall out.

All I have is the head and few very basic mods like iridium plugs and hyper voltage system. All of which weren't causing problems before. The idle is actually on the very low end of the proper idle, but the head seems to need a higher idle to keep it going. Bigger ports=slower air flow=more air volume necessary. I'm hoping the bored out TB will help this. If not, I'm just gonna adjust the TPS until the idle goes up a little. All I need is maybe 100-200rpms more.
