My original filter was made by Fram for Honda. Since then I've gone back to my dealer and purchased only the filters made by Filtech.

Honeywell is the parent company of Fram. Honeywell manufactures Honda oil filters as well as Filtech and Toyo Roki in Japan. The Honda filters are the Fram Toughguard which is a better filter than the Extraguard that you buy at WalMart.

There is a lot of negativity towards Fram filters because of their cardboard endcaps. But, if Honda has their confidence in them and confides their powertrain warranty in the Frams, why shouldn't we?
