the factory says they are good to like 60,000mi.

i'd say some NGK-R irridum plugs. i think you can get them for $10 or less if you shop around.

People here also recommend Denso's. But there quite expensive, I believe a pack of 4 is like 45 bucks.

the civic is built to use NGK. it has somthing to do with resistance. (you know, ohms) but denso's work well too. don't use bosch, they work, but not too well. same with using NGK in a BMW. they work, just not too well.

I'm also thinking about buying Denso iridiums, but my car only has 10000 miles on it, so...maybe in like 3 years....

CapYoda has a spectacular aura about CapYoda has a spectacular aura about
the stock should last a good while.

whether it'll last 100,000 is another story.

but changing it too soon is worthless.

Actually the stocks are either Denso or NGK platinum, I'm saying either not because I dont know.. but the Civic comes with either one. So either brand is fine.

both the Denso and the NGK is okay.. there's a specific part # in ur manual.

when u buy an aftermarket one, just make sure u get the right one.. with the right gap and right specs. and you should be fine.

honestly, a $12 set of spark plug ($3 each) would work fine too.

me, I'm not going to spend over $14 bucks on a SET of spark plugs.

our stock plugs are way too expensive too, cuz they're double plantium ones I believe, and runs for about 9-10 bucks each.

IMO, iridiums only last longer. nothing more.

if your spark plugs are dying too early, or there's cargon deposit or other abnormality, there could be a problem with ur engine.

you should check ur plugs at the service interval recommended by the manual. always check if the gaps are correct (1 to 1.3 mm)... and replace if the gap has widen too much.

sometimes they do die fast.. but only if the gap has widen, not if the plug is fouled up.. search the net for pics on how to judge the health of your engine by looking at the spark plug.

for some reason, Japanese imports work best with NGK or Denso, and vice versa with other markets... *shrug*
