i went to formula one dealer and talked about window tint
there were several types of films made by 2 companies FormulaOne and Llumar..(i kno they are like honda and acura)
anyway, i was looking for full metallic ones cuz it doesnt fade out..
i narrowed them to 3..
which are 35% formulaone ultimate
formulaone premeir
llumar platinunplus
i think formulaone and llumar are nationwide companies..
so if u kno about those products..
let me get some info..
pic will be great too
They will still fade. But they won't turn purple they will turn into a gray
or silver color. I have been tinting for 6 years and I hate when companies mislead people. I have used lumar, madico,
johnsons (personal favorite), solar guard, sun guard, and a few others. But anything that is in the sun will eventually fade. Unless you live somewhere that isn't a high U.V. zone. Just don't pay too much.
even if it fade about a couple yrs later..i will be with lifetime warranty..huh?
u personally like johnsons?
how do u think about llumar and formulaone?
I like them. They are good films. But from an installers pov the johnsons is easier to work with. As far as lifetime warranty goes, the companies use it as a selling point. Hoping that you won't have the car that long or won't care by then. I used to work for a company that offered lifetime warranties on alarm systems from the late 70's. But when it came time for one of us to repair it, either we didn't know what to do or there aren't anymore parts. I'm just saying not to let yoursef get overcharged for b.s.
FormulaOne tint is a great product. The premier series has a little bit of a shine. It is usually personal preference. We do offer many smoked films in all price ranges. I recommend the comfort, ultimate, or pinnacle series. I can show you a few cars done if you would like.
There is a full lifetime warranty. It does NOT cover scratching. Even if you come back 10 years from now we will replace the film at NO charge to you. That means labor and film.
LLumar is a great film for the money. I dont have any complaints about it.
Come on in or call us and we will get you set up.

My name is Rich and i will be more than glad to help you out.
Why are you worried about brand names? Just get a metallic tint and it won't fade, plus the shop that installs it should provide a lifetime warranty since that's what the manufacturer claims.
i used llumar and 4 yrs later of sitting in the sun daily, it did fade a bit and turn blueish (still looks nice). and some parts are bubbling and peeling but overall still presentable. its just film after all...wont last forever.
I have owned my car since new in 2001. I'm on my 3rd tint job. The most recent being lumar and by far the best I have had. The other 2 were metallic tint and faded quickly and got blurry. I had 15 on the doors and in 3 years looked like 35. I am finally satisfied with lumar. It has good visability at night. btw I have 5% on the back and 15 on the doors. IMO go with lumar
I had Formula One on my 2004 Civic Si (Canadian EX) sedan. I had 20% but I can't remember which series I had, it was semi metallic since I was concerned about antenna reception. In the four years I had the car I never saw any evidence of fading, I'm sure it probably did but not much and definitely no bluish tinge.
I would have had my 2008 Civic done in the same tint if Honda hadn't messed up their prices and I got it dirt cheap from the dealer.

just wondering, did you have any problem with the defroster lines peeling when they removed the tint each time... because i think if my tint gets any worse im just gonna have it removed and stay untinted.

Nope! I didn't do it myself though...The tint place took it off with a steam machine and some sort of chemical. But no problems with the rear defroster...yet
