Rep Power: 0 06 Civic Intermittent Power Door Lock Actuator Issues
I have a 2006 Civic EX Sedan. During the past couple of years I have had intermittent problems with the power door lock actuators. Every once in a while one of my doors will fail to lock when using either my FOB or the door lock switch. This goes on for anywhere from a few days to a month and then mysteriously it begins working again.
It first happened a couple of years ago with the rear passenger's door, then last year with the rear driver's side door, and last week with the front driver's side door (it just started working again today).
To me it sounds like there isn't enough voltage getting to the actuators - they sound like they are laboring to close. Any ideas on what might be the cause?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

I would monitor power and ground right at the actuator(s) that isn't working. Lock motors can get weak.
