I have a 2009 Civic LX, Automatic, that the cigarette lighter (power socket) does not work (already checked fuse). I would like to take it out and test it further but can't figure it out. I have got the shifter bezel and cup holder trim out, but how do I get the "pocket" out (the black piece that has the lighter and mp3 connector)? The Haynes manual just says to take it out, but it sure ain't coming. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I show 2 sockets, each controlled by its own relay.
Dash fusebox, #28 #29 and #35
35 is 7.5A
the other two are 15A


Check those before you tear up the car.
