Civic Newbie Sound fade question

I just got my 2006 Civic LX a month ago and I love it. There is one thing that annoys me a tad, when I brake, the sound fades to a softer volume and then returns to normal after I've returned to accelerating.

I've been looking all over the forums for a way to turn that feature off. Maybe I'm just putting in the wrong search terms. Anyway, any help out there?

There's nothing about it in the manual. That was the first place I looked.
