Re: 2007 honda civic hybrid abs problem

This happened after installing a battery??
Which battery? 12v or IMA
How many problems did the car have before you replaced the battery?

On a North American car, the 81-xx series codes represent an internal ABS/VSA control unit fault.....which would seem unusual and rare to me, but certainly not impossible.

These types of codes can set after someone installs aftermarket HID headlight bulbs and places the ballast too close to the ABS control unit, so inspect if your car has this.

and handbrake light alwas on and break is too hard
Red brake system warning light on, could be faults in the 'advanced hydraulic booster' system..
Is a buzzer in the dashboard also making noise at the same time?

Maybe there are more clues to be found, such as in the brake booster system.
You should check all other control units in the car for fault codes, then evaluate all codes.

Re: 2007 honda civic hybrid abs problem

and say something in Japanese
Was the car designed to be sold in a Japanese market?
Not originally intended to be sold in the Middle East?

Small scanners won't be able to access all the different electronic systems on the car.
Do you have access to a Honda/Acura dealership level scan tool?

Re: 2007 honda civic hybrid abs problem

61-01
ABS modulator initial IG voltage low
(can be caused by discharged battery)

Have you erased these codes, and do they soon reset again after erased?

My friend have Launch x431 scanner
I don't think that can access all the electronic systems on the car.

Can it display live operating data for the ABS system?

Not really necessary.
The primary concern is that you have a good battery that will fit securely and connect to the cables safely. You could use a motorcycle battery as long as it is 12v and the cables will attach. (Someone on this forum was using a small garden tractor battery). The original battery (151R ?) was probably not much bigger than a motorcycle battery anyway.
