Rep Power: 0 Buying Brake Pads ...from Amazon vs Pep Boys
I was searching Brake Pads for my Civic (2009 Honda Civic LX-S, 1.8L SOHC).
Was checking Duralast Gold CMax vs Akebono ProACT Ultra Premium, but decided to go with Akebono this time.
Found on Pep Boys for $73. Part # ACT465A
http://www.pepboys.com/product/detai...ake_pads_front
I checked Amazon, found for $40 "Akebono ACT465A ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad Set"
Both seem to be the same set of brakes?
But the Amazon Part Checker, says it doesn't fit my car for the LX-S (it fits the LX though). Pep Boys Part Checker says it fits just fine.
Anyone know if I can ignore the Amazon warning and get the Akebono for my car ?
With Amazon, it seems to show me results for my car, but then when I check each search result, it says it doesn't fit my car, so I am not sure how accurate the Amazon part checker is. I am assuming it isn't that accurate and that the Akebono brakes would be fine, but I just wanted to make sure.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
