Rep Power: 0 sound from the back wheel on the driver side
I had A1 service done (oil change + tire rotations) and after less than a month from the service date, my car now is making a very weird sound from the back wheel on the driver side. the sound would go away as soon as I step on the brake pedal even slightly.
Do any of you have had something like that before?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: sound from the back wheel on the driver side
Does it sound like nails on a chalkboard?
"Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep"?
Brake wear squealers. Needs brake job.

Re: sound from the back wheel on the driver side
Good video, I can hear it on this crappy laptop.
Does it make the same noise when you back up? (Just curious.)
I am assuming this car is an EX/Si (rear disc brakes), not a DX/LX (rear drum brakes)...
Is that correct?
Well that's kinda close to the pitch for a wear indicator (squealer), but it could also be one of the clips on the caliper bracket that has moved out of place and rubs the brake rotor.
Could even be a rock or something caught in the brake or backing plate.
22k seems a bit early for brakes in my area, but everyone drives different so it may really be needing them. Maybe not.
(Example: If one delivers pizza for a living, they will use up the brakes much faster than someone that drives cross-country all the time.)
Wear indicator noise would be simple, do a brake job.
If it isn't the wear indicator, then someone needs to take apart the brakes on that wheel and take a look.
You have low mileage, is the car still in warranty? (dealer)
Out of warranty, anyone should be able to handle this.

thank you for your responses.
I brought my car to to a honda dealer and a service adviser suggested the following things:
1. replace front- brake pads and resurface the front rotors
2. tire balance.
I only chose to have them did #1 and it costs me $400.
parts+supplies = $116.89 and $283.54 for labor. I live in MD and I am not sure if I'd been ripped off

Re: sound from the back wheel on the driver side
Are you positive the noises originally came from the rear?
And the most important question:
Is your problem (noise) fixed now?
Apples =/= oranges.
Prices vary widely, and you probably aren't in a cheap part of the country.
They may have charged a fee for checking out your noise too, that adds to the final price.
We only get around $200 per axle for the same work described (basic brake job) without the checkout fee.
Cost of living is relatively cheap here.
