2008 AC Compressor Clutch Air Gap - Access?

My AC compressor clutch isn't engaging on my 2008 LX Sedan. After scouring these forums, I've troubleshooted down to the air gap on the clutch. The relay kicks on (I replaced that already), the fans are blowing, but you can see the clutch pull in only part way without engaging. I guess the clutch has gotten worn over time, or the magnets aren't liking the summer heat.

Obviously I'd like to reduce that gap. I thought I could just go into the engine bay, undo a bolt, remove the clutch plate, and go from there. However, there's a piece of the frame directly in front of the bolt head, which is preventing me from getting a socket wrench in there. I took a picture and used some amazing MS paint skills to illustrate what I'm talking about (see attached).

I was wondering if anyone might have some suggestions for how to get to that clutch plate, or reduce the air gap, using as few tools as possible. I'm a novice at this sort of thing, and I don't have access to a lot of tools or a good workshop (I could obviously buy/rent tools if needed, but I'd like to have a good plan of action before spending money). And I don't want to take it to a shop and have them rip my eyes out for a whole new compressor unit. It's just me, a jack, a toolbox, and the Florida heat.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Stick a prybar between the subframe and the oil pan, carefully push the engine over a little to get the clutch plate out. I think you only need to push the engine over about 5mm or so to get the plate out.
