Rep Power: 0 Rough Idle when Starting Cold Engine
My grandson recently bought a 2007 EX with low mileage. Has problem with a rough idle upon a cold start that goes away when he drives off. The rough engine comes back when the engine speed comes back down to idle. The rear engine mount was replaced by a new Honda mount, but it has not cured the problem.
I was with him upon the latest occurrence and it felt like a low speed/cold engine issue as the mounts were replaced with factory parts.
Any helpful solutions would be greatly appreciated.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Rough Idle when Starting Cold Engine
The engine mount on the passengers side is the one that usually collapses and causes horrible vibrations.

If mounts have been replaced with factory parts, maybe they need 'neutralized'.
If mounts have been replaced with aftermarket parts, you probably won't be able to improve anything as they are usually harder than stock and cause more vibration complaints.
Unless this is a running problem causing vibrations, instead of the usual mount issue.
