Rich STFT at idle and crusing

Hi guys,

I have a been facing an issue with My honda CIVIC 2006 sedan 1.8 auto. i have been reading data via OBDII for the past few days at cold start to idle and then driving around at cursing speed.

i noticed that the STFT is always with -5 to -20 and the Bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor current is averaging at -0.0088 mA and Lambda is averaging at 1.02, while the bank 1 sensor 2 is erratic its averaging 0.56V. the ERG Error is at 99.2 % and the command ERG is mostly at 0, i have attached a CSV with the readings including rpm.

I would appreciate any help here guys i feel lost.https://www.civicforums.com/forums/i...ilies/help.gif

ps: i have already cleaned the ERG valve.

Thank you

Just a dummy check, but after cleaning, did you make sure the EGR was fully pressed back together for the electrical connection?

(Once I half clicked an ignition coil together and it took me an hour to trouble shoot, because it looked like it was connected, lol. =D)

Thanks guys, i have check the connectors, and there is no check engine light or trouble codes, the only issue is the idle vibration when the rpm drops below 600 rpm and the car feel kind of heavy

Re: Rich STFT at idle and crusing

Lambda is averaging at 1.02
and there is no check engine light or trouble codes,
Computer is still controlling fuel within code-set limits, so I probably wouldn't worry much about it.

What is MAP voltage @hot idle, park/neutral, no load?

the only issue is the idle vibration when the rpm drops below 600 rpm
Try doing an idle relearn?

Is the vibration harsh and loud? (motor mount collapsed?)

and the car feel kind of heavy
Description is ambiguous.

Re: Rich STFT at idle and crusing

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, i check the mounts they look fine, and the vibration are not load rather annoying. and the reason i am concerned about it because its not there when the engine is cold ie the ECU is using the default parameters.

i will need to check the MAF voltage and do the idle relearn.

I said MAP sensor, not MAF.

I kinda judge if valves are too tight by MAP voltage.
