Rep Power: 0 Civic 8th gen Sedan: Clunk Noise from front RH
I have been hunting it down in the last 1-2 months without any success.
Description of noise:
* Sounds like empty plastic bottle or tin can hit into solid object
* Happens randomly on flat road. But more frequent when goes uphill.
* From front RH side of the car. Close to fender area. But could be from inside.
* Definitely not the sway bar bushing or the link. I have done some trial but taken them out completely but the noise still there.
* New parts: KYB strut, new strut bearing and mounting. But top and bottom spring cushion are still old one.
* Top RH engine mount (torque arm) still old.
* Bottom RH engine mount (hydraulic) still old. Gap left is around 5mm. I have tried to shake the engine to recreate the noise by putting the first gear and pretend to start driving while hand brake is engaged. But no sound generated. Not sure if this is correct way to check.
* sub frame tightness hasnt been checked.
Please if someone know the solution of this to let me know.
The car is FD shape made in thailand. 1800cc. Year 2010. Manual
