Rep Power: 0 A/C Compressor clutch rattling!!!
I have an Honda Civic 2000 DX 2 doors Coupe. The AC compressor clutch is rattling and have and a friction metal noise. The rattling noise comes when the AC is turn off and the friction metal noise comes as soon I start the engine, like a bearing noise and is all the time. Is there a way to fix these problems with out changing the AC compressor? And if there is, how can I fix it? Thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: A/C Compressor clutch rattling!!!
Remove the belt from the compressor. Wiggle, feel, and spin the pulley to see if the compressor pulley has play in its bearing or if the bearing is bad. (Honda does sell the pulley parts separate from the compressor if you need it.)
Then do the same checks on the AC belt adjuster pulley, it's the most common to go bad and get noisy.
