Rep Power: 0 2011 Civic EX manual trans hesitation
I've been following a couple of threads here, and finally joined. I've not seen an answer to a problem others seem to be having as well, but with auto trans cars.
Every once in a while, usually when accellerating hard, the car hesitates during the 1-2 gear shift. There are other occassions where it stumbles slightly, generally when decelerating, and then accelerating again. I've been driving since 1974, and of the 34 cars I've owned (many just for fun, like autocross or to fling around mountain roads) only three have been automatics, so I do know how to drive a stick.
The dealer can't reproduce it, and can't find any codes, nor does there seem to be any TSBs on this. A friend with a 2005 Accord 5 speed has the same problem, and another friend with a 2008 CRV automatic has a couple of hesitations from time to time. They can't get any satisfaction either.
Surely someone has a fix for this, it's really annoying.
I look forward to being a part of this forum!

I know exactly what your talking about...my old automatic used to do that...then it failed lol. Im not saying that's a sign of impending failure but when i got the trans replaced it didnt happen anymore. Never figured out exactly what it was though.
