Rep Power: 0 2007 Civic EX Cpe Sound Not Working! Help!
Ok, the battery on my EX died and I had to get a new one. I changed it, and when I turned my car back on, it asked me for the code. I got it from the dealer, and when that done, I thought it would be fine. But no! Everything in the radio works, but no sound comes out of my speakers... I tried to see if it was the speakers but connecting a speaker to the back outlet, but no sound came out, so I don't know what it could be.
What baffles me is that it was working fine one day, and then next it just doesn't. What can it be? Could I have burnt an outlet from the electrical circuit? Or is it a wiring issue?? I am out of idea, please help me!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

So, you have the radio displaying a station number and you cranked the volume up, and still no sound?
No wiring knocked off of the rear speakers?
You didn't manage to set the battery in backwards and spark the cables, did you? That can blow all sorts of fuses and cause all sorts of problems.
Fuses directly involved in the audio system and the amplifier:
Dash box: 35, 5,
Engine compartment box: 23, 17,
More separate components can be involved, like the MICU, Navi stuff, XM, PCM, communication networks, etc.
If all fuses are good and nothing else can be found, you might try:
Key OFF.
Disconnect the battery, wait 5 minutes, reconnect it. (Kinda like a reboot.)
Enter the radio code again.
See if it has sound.

Ok, so I checked the fuses you said were directly involved with the audio system and they are all fine. I have yet to check all of the fuses, but for some reason I don't think it's a fuse problem because everything on my dashboard works except the sound. I am wondering if maybe it has to do with the wiring? I didn't personally change the battery, I had a mechanic do it, so maybe he moved around some wires? Could that be an issue?

Oh and by the way, I tried resetting it, with the battery, and still no sound. I forgot to thank you for your reply, very informative, I just wish I could get to the bottom of this. The sound systems MAKES my car, without it, it just feels wrong. Lol

There is no fuse there. But according to the owner's manual, there should only be one on the SI version of my car. I have an EX. Right?

I don't know where you are located, but USA 2dr EX and Si both have an amp. If the fuse is suddenly MISSING, then someone stole it (probably for another location). Plug a fuse into the correct hole and see what happens.

Ok, so I figured it out. Apparently, fuse 17 went out. When I took it off, though, the fuse legs stayed inside the fused box... Now, if I put a new fuse on top of it, electricity still runs through and the sound works, but the legs don't fit in properly... :/

No the plastic casing did not fall apart. But the legs got stuck in the fuse holder. But I used a tweezer to take it out and replace it. So all is well! Thanks for your help! I'll try to post pics.

What car do you have?
What year??
Coupe or Sedan, trim level, and what country was the car sold in?
I've got a diagram that says "audio amp" "07 Si" 15 amp fuse. Other cars may not use it though.
