Rep Power: 0 07 Civic Vibrates
Hi All,
I have bought a used civic 07 (170K KM). I have noticed a vibration.. It only vibrates when it is accelerating from 26 to 34...
The vibration is not bad, and if I press the gas paddle little hard, the vibration goes away... but if I am very very gently pushing the gas paddle it vibrates a little.
My question is, is it a serious problem that can become big in near future? Should I take it to the mechanic? It never vibrates when idle or in the morning, it just vibrates when it is VERY slowly moving from 26KM/H to 30KM/H...
Please help, Thanks
Ray

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 07 Civic Vibrates
Shakes just after it makes a shift: Torque converter clutch (TCC) shudder.
I would first try the official Honda specified procedure (using the proper Honda ATF DW-1 fluid of course!!) for flushing the trans.
No chemicals, no machines.
If that doesn't solve , then it needs the torque converter replaced.
The TSB on trans flushing:
(Note the current fluid is DW-1 now, not Z-1.)

Print and give to your mechanic.
