check engine light

hello,i m new here.i just finshed worked in my honda civic.i change oil pan gesket after i chage i start my car its give me check engine light.i take out battry wire and after 20 sec its come back.any idea?

Is this on your Volvo, or some sort of Civic?

Year, make, model, engine, etc.

its 2000 hinda civic ex.and i did not checked it yet for code. cuz the shop is close today.and can u some one tell where is i buy the check light machine so i check it by my self

I doubt the two are related, unless you unplugged a sensor to get to the oil pan.

first time when i change oil pan its fine but before doing working i unplug battry wire.but than i broke one bult so its still leaking so i open it agian but this time i did not unplug the battry.

Any Advance Auto, Auto Zone, or similar shop will have them...Spend the money get a good one IMO...

Without the code we can't really help you

The tool you are looking for is call a "Code Scanner"
