Okay so I need a answer to a problem that I have, I was backing out of a parking lot today and my space was limited due to cramped parking spaces and I hit a red pole, I didnt hit it with much force I was only going around 3 MPH, but I crack my rear bumper its fairly tiny but very noticeable, I'm going to take my car to the bodyshop next month to have my whole car repainted due to a huge dent I have on my passenger side, for again backing up into something, my only concern is if this small crack on my rear end is some how fixable or does my bumper need to be replaced, I already have a quote for the repairs on my passenger side and painting my car, but this crack is new and I just want to know before i take it into the body shop, any answers are helpful.... thanks .

Depends on how big the crack is...some shops will repair cracks on bumpers by bonding it back together, filling and sanding the crack down, then repaint...

Other shops like to just buy a new bumper to save time...

If you decide to replace your bumper, don't buy the cheap ones on ebay...You are better off going to a junkyard and trying to find a nice, uncracked one there...

Primer and paint don't like to bond to the cheap ebay ones due to a release agent so it comes out of the mold
