2007 Civic 50,000 mile service, approx cost and any problems too be aware of
My 2007 Civic 1.8 Petrol is coming up to its 50,000 mile service reasonably soon
Can anyone advise approx cost (in GB Pounds) of service and are there any particular problems that I should keep an eye open for when the car gets to this kind of mileage?

Nothing much,
Expect fluid changes, filter changes, perhaps spark plug changes.
All those you can do yourself for 25% of what dealership costs
They will usually just do a routine belt check, and brake checks, and fluid inspections

A Civic with 50k miles is practically brand new.
Just change the oil and check some other things.
coolant level
tranny fluid level/color (pink good, brown/black bad)
brake fluid level
rotate tires
check tire pressure
check belt for cracks
check/clean/replace cabin air filter
check/replace PCV valve
check front brake pad thickness
check spare tire pressure

Yeah they keep telling me I need all this stuff done but the only thing I agree with them is that I need to get my serpentine belt replaced.

Its really hard to give price estimates for service for someone on the other side of the Atlantic.Depending on the condition of the roads you frequent, you might also be approaching some suspension component changes.
