Would like a spare key for 2006 Civic LX
Yesterday I updated my daughters car from a 1996 Civic with 180,000 to a 2006 Civic with 40,000 miles. The dealer gave us one regular key ( with remote ) and the valet key.
She will surely misplace the one key and we will need a spare.
I see replacements on Ebay for $35-$40 but they read see dealer for cutting and programming.
When I bought an aftermarket key to be programmed for my Mercedes, the Mercedes dealer told me to jump in a Lake and refused to program it.
What is the best route ( on a budget ) to get another key.
