I have a 06 si with 32000 miles stored winters, just out of warranty the paint is cracking on hood and fenders. I talked with honda no help so i called customer service they said take it to dealer to get it looked at. I took there and body guy says they have done 6 civic si and lots of honda vans. not sure of cause honda says no problem with si but they do have a problem with there vans. hoping honda will stand behind there product and help me . anyone else seen this problem?

one day paint is perfect the next cracks allover hood and fenders . heat issue? poor quality paint?

Yea my 2007 civic lx coupe has serious paint chipping going on... nothing major just lil chips here and there.

However, got a question, about to throw a magnaflow exhaust on my civic, and was thinking about buying headers to go on also.... howevere where is the catalytic converter located? is it in with the stock heade on the car, or is it completely seperate?

Have a friend in a body shop say that most of the Hondas he's seen in the last 5 years or so have had this same problem. Sounds like they're buying cheap paint.

I have the same problem with my 2006 Honda Civic SI (26,000 miles). Paint cracking on hood and quater panel. No resolution yet. They tell me at Honda that a service rep has to see it and make a decission.

My 2002 civic is exposed to African Sun and no cracking there at all. My car built in the UK originally
