Value Of 1984 Civic DX Hatchback

Hi all, I need some fellow Honda lovers advice on pricing my 84 Civic Dx. I've been all over the web, Auto Trader, AOL, Carfax, etc trying to find other 84's for sale for a pricing guideline but can find none. I'm hoping someone out there can give me a ballpark figure on it's worth. #1 let me say this is the best car we have ever owned. We bought it from a S. Ca. Buick dealer in 1985 with 13,000 miles on it and were able to contact the previous owners as to why they traded it in. They said they had bought it new for their son to use for college and he had simply outgrew it. They had kept up dealer maint and had no trouble with it. It was like new complete with records when we got it. We always kept oil (believe in slick 50 religiously) changed and all other servicing up to date. Other than clutch, tires, timing belt, belts, air cond serv. valve adj. and other normal wear and tear we never had to have anything major done to any of it. I cannot think of any time I would not have been afraid to jump in it and drive it across the country without even looking under the hood. It as a great car. Then we moved to Texas from S. Ca. We trailered it in a front wheel cradle behind the Uhaul and drove other car. Got to Tx. and I dont know why but we let it sit in Garage for 1 year. Thought motor would be frozen but it wasnt and it started just fine. However the throttle cable was frozen. Meant to order new one but didnt and now it's been sitting in garage for 4 yrs. Started to put rear brakes on it but never finished what with the heat n humidity here and all the work the house required so the 2 rear wheels have been up on jack stands for the 4 yrs. We just havent needed the car to be honest. Havent tried starting it but pretty sure engine is froze. It's still in good cosmetic condition other than the flat black trim has mostly peeled away and there is some peeling of paint across the roof from the wind stream towing it in a front wheel cradle here (body is blue). It has 212,000 miles on it. Front seats are reclining, rear seat flips down for a deck and are the standard gray cloth in good cond, carpet is dark blue and does show wear, tires are new radials. It's the hatchback with rear wiper, air, am fm cassette, variable speed wipers, mud guards and all are OEM. Anyone with any advice on a price feel free to contact me. Thanks. D. Short. Del Rio, Tx. idk, if it was working id say maybe $500? old cars arent worth much unless someone is really looking for a vintage civic lol. why not try to fix it up and keep it, or find a student in need of cheap reliable car. its gonna be worth more to you if you hang onto it cause ppl wont pay much for it.
