What are the benefits?
Escrow.com, an accredited escrow company, acts as a secure third party to protect the Buyer and Seller.

This was on my General Real Estate Exam, and I was like, I know I saw this on 7thgen. cool. I figured that out pretty easily anyways, but learned on 7thgen before my testing. Just thought I'd share.

I would think that there are a lot of scam escrow companies out there. On the internet it is so easy to rip people off from escrow, but there is a much larger legality issue there. If you say you are running an escrow company, and dont have a license first off, and than rip people off. The government WILL NOT stand for that, and would find those people quick. So escrow is much safer, but there could be some dumba** starting a site not knowing any better, just wanting to rip people off. I say go to reputable escrow companies, and nothing else. I use paypal for vendors on this site, and other sites that I know wont rip me off. So Im safe other than somebody jacking account info from hacking paypals site.

And what types of fees do they charge? Thats funny, you can open and close escrow for an amount of like 20 bucks. sweet

Alot of people has been screwed over by paypal, including myself. Check out this website
www.paypalsucks.com

you will see many scams paypal themselves do to their users.

Re: Escrow...Should you use it?

I haven't used either escrow.com or paypal as a seller, but I just noticed on paypal's website that items picked up locally or in person aren't covered by seller protection.

So, for local sales, cash is still king!
