Civicforums Marketplace Rules- Read Before Posting!

To ensure this forum continues to be a useful and enjoyable area for all members there are a few rules strictly enforced by the mod staff. If for any reason you have a question or need clarification on these rules please message the moderators: MindBomber or tbohar. Exceptions may be made to some rules if prior permission is obtained.
Minimum of 50 Posts Required to Create a Thread. That means you can’t join CivicForums.com just to sell your items- this area is intended for active, contributing members only. Threads created by members with less than the minimum post count will be removed by the mod staff, without contacting the member who created the thread.
All threads must include a price! Whether you’re looking to buy, sell or trade an item, a price must be listed. If you need a part, post a price range your willing to spend; If you’re selling a part, you must post a price. OBO (or best offer) is acceptable. For trades, include what you’re willing to trade for.
Thread Title Must Include Intention Fast Sale, Want to Buy, Want to Trade, Feeler or Free. Abbreviations are acceptable.
Bumping! You may bump your thread once per calendar day, any more is pointless and spam. Free bumps by members other than the OP are not included in this rule.
No Businesses! If you own a business and would like to sell your merchandise on this site you must become a paid sponsor.
Pictures are Required! Very few people are willing to buy an item from a stranger off the internet without seeing a picture of it first, so to save people having to ask for pictures, one must be included in the first post of the thread. For your sales benefit: include in the picture a piece of paper with your username, the date and civicforums written on it.
No Personal Information! Members may not include their email, phone number or any other contact information in the thread. Interested members must establish contact through the site systems; by private message, visitor wall or posting in the thread. This creates a visual record of the sale which can be referenced by itrader and in case of dispute.
No Low Balling or “That’s Only Worth $XXX” Comments! Consequences to comments like this will be dealt with on a case by case basis, which may include a permanent ban from civicforums.com. Respect members. If an item is over priced, you can PM the user in a nice way. Don't be a jerk.
No Excessive Off-Topic Discussion Asking a question in sale threads is totally acceptable, as are a couple comments, but if it becomes excessive the posts will be removed. No one wants to read through two pages of comments just to see if an item is still for sale.
If your location is not specified on your profile, it must be included in your thread Location effects shipping costs (unless the seller has specified a "shipped" price or a set shipping fee). Also allows for members to meet up so the potential local buyer may physically inspect the goods prior to purchase.
