Exclamation Grey's End Links: Version 2.1 Now Available

These are an alternative to the Hotchkis end links which sell for $150 shipped. People have been having problems with their stock end links breaking, so these end links will solve that problem. Hotchkis only sells them in sets of four. I sell them in sets of two and four.

This latest design of mine solves the problem of thick sway bar mounting points by getting rid of the thick support washers. The thick support washers are only needed at the lower control arm mounting points where the OEM metal is thinner than the sway bar mounting point metal.

The new and improved endlinks are in stock and ready for shipment!

Here are the direct links to PayPal payments...

Kit 2EL: For any aftermarket or OEM sway bar. (front or rear)
- Two endlinks priority shipped to anywhere in the USA. $65.75
- Two endlinks priority shipped to anywhere in Canada. $71.00

Kit 4EL: For any set of aftermarket or OEM sway bars. (front and rear)
- Four endlinks priority shipped to anywhere in the USA. $103.55
- Four endlinks priority shipped to anywhere in Canada. $109.00

Kit 2EL-P: For any rear sway bar (aftermarket or OEM) with the Progress mounting kit.
- Two endlinks priority shipped to anywhere in the USA. $65.75
- Two endlinks priority shipped to anywhere in Canada. $71.00

Kit 4EL-P: For any set of aftermarket or OEM sway bars with the Progress mounting kit.
- Four endlinks priority shipped to anywhere in the USA. $103.55
- Four endlinks priority shipped to anywhere in Canada. $109.00

If you would like to purchase my endlinks with the use of a check or money order, then please PM me about it. I will then give you all of the information you need to make a purchase. Thanks.

They could be, but I don't have enough money to buy a ton of materials all at once. I might have two or three sets available for sale.

Yeah, will do. As soon as I get the design down 100% then I'll know how much the materials cost. Then I'll figure out what a good price to sell them for is. We'll see...

Can you use a shorter bolt? I'm assuming there's no interference at this point between the bolt and other hardware on the car.

There is absolutely no interference. The end links can flex through the full motion of the suspension and they do not come in contact with anything else. That's with my setup though. I.E. 215/45-17 tires and a 27mm Progress front sway bar and no drop.

I will offer your money back if my product does not work with your particular setup. It would be nice if everyone who received my product could contact me with a little follow up to let me know if everything was allright after installation. That way I could assure my customers.

I could not find a shorter male rod end for the end link. The ones I have are the shortest available. I would have to modify them myself to make them shorter. The 7thgencivic.com member "ohmysac" has modified a set of rod ends to be shorter than stock. Mine are a little longer than stock from rotating point to rotating point.

Yep, I got them today. Installing and testing after I eat. So... I'll report back with the results at like 6:00PM or so. That's EST.

Edit: They don't work. Bleh. The bronze is too soft. It looks like my old bushing material (the aluminum alloy) did work though. It was the stainless steel washers that didn't hold up under the pressure and caused the play. At least that's what it looks like. I'll go and get some better washers and re-try those aluminum alloy spacers.

I've got everything installed with the harder washers. We'll see if that works. I'll test it out tonight. Although I think I'll change out the spacers too. Aluminum is just too soft; no matter what alloy it is. I might do something like Hotchkis did. Simply use polyurethane spacers. They flex back and forth, so they take shock very well. Solid bushings would be better, but I'm starting to see that they would need to be hella solid for them to work. We'll see...

The last spacer material I tried did indeed not work. The end links became loose again. Although I'm pretty sure that the washers stood up to the forces at play, so at least one problem is solved.

I've been looking throught McMaster.com and Grainger.com all day trying to find something that I could use as a spacer, but it's really tough to find something with the specifications I need. Bleh.

There might be another solution. There are these things called spherical washers... The male spherical washer might work for one side of the end link, but I'de need something else for the other side.

The situation is... I need to come up with an idea for the spacers. I'll report back when one pops into my head.

Grey...no matter how beefy you make those things i'll figure out a way to break them. I've gone through 2 stock end links in the rear, and a pair of rsx-s end links also rear. All have broken on the track .

Well, I hope my end links will hold up. I'm going to be testing them like mad when I get the design finalized. If someone does end up breaking a set of my end links, then I will re-design them. I doubt that this will happen though.
