Whats up guys! as far as mileage go's you will have to either get your mileage on both to match or you can search cluster swap here and come up with another plan.

You can bring the cluster to a dealer and have them change the mileage for you, but its pretty expensive from what I hear. Of your can wait till your cluster matches the mileage on the car and then swap, or you can just go ahead and install it like everyone else does and just make a note that the mileage is of by XXXX miles. This was my biggest issues when swapping cluster-- My car is nearing 70k and my cluster now reads 25k. I wont trick anyone when I sell it because I know they can get the mileage off the ECU and I'd be in hot water.
the ecu thing is a myth, i thought it was true for a while, but the cluster stores the mileage. only way to reset it is send it to a programming company so they can plug their $10,000 machine and type in a new mileage. it costs $160 shipped to send them your cluster to reprogram.
is the second cluster OBO? also, will the mileage set itself. lmk.
throw me an offer. i do not know the mileage, but im guessing since its from an 04, it is around 30k. that is just a guess. mileage will be different from your car. same happened to me, i have 70k on car and barely 40k on my cluster. its not a big deal, just record the old mileage and when you swapped clusters so you know for later, and you can always send it to get reprogrammed later.

think about it, how and why would the ecu store mileage? and if it did, then why have a dedicated chip in the cluster if it could just display the mileage from the ecu and be done with it. and every data logger ive heard about is not able to retrieve mileage from the ecu. you can call up those guys i posted a link for and ask, thats their life is fixing and resetting clusters.
