Edit (13 Oct 09): worked out a deal with a wholesaler to buy in bulk, so now all kits will be in black for $30 shipped
I've been making these kits for people for about 2 years or so. I have kits installed that fit 6th, 7th and 8th gens.
there are 3 ground wires on the car that these replace (7th gen).
battery to chassis (top)
tranny to chassis (top)
engine to chassis (bottom)
My kit splits the top cable into 2 separate cables as it would be very difficult to get a reliable crimp of 2 cables in one terminal without some type of machine. this is 4ga black wire with the upgraded battery clamp and gold terminals. $30 shipped for this:
Here's an 8th Gen kit in black:

replacing the 3 main ground cables on the car since OEM they're like 6 and 8 gauge cables. lights don't dim as much at night at idle with these. it's a must if you have aftermarket stereo system with amps.
Good point on the red, I'll prob go with translucent black. I need to figure out what other grounds to do though. I'm def down for blowing some more money on my ride to make me happy.
Might I add: Ca-ching! Ca-ching! for you electric!
by the time i buy all the parts, pay for shipping to get the materials and shipping to the customer, i make less than $10 a kit. plus the time it takes me to make them, based on my hourly rate at my full time job, i really don't make anything on them. i mainly do it just to offer a quality product for our cars as there's not really anything commercially available to those that don't want to make it themselves.
i actually just added it all up. to buy 2 ft of cable, gold terminals, the battery clamp, heat shrink, and pay for shipping from the sellers (2 different places) and to the customer (based on an average of $7 for priority on my end-i don't ship cheap, only priority mail) the total was $36.97. so my "profit margin" on raw materials is $3.03. factor in time (let's just say i make more than $20/hr at my job) and my overal "profit" is in the red. i really don't make anything......hmmmmm......why am i doing this again?
well got mine in the black last week and put it in right away. fast shipping and he sends directions too. i feel a little increase in throtte response, so i recommend to do this cheap and easy upgrade. thanks again!
