Allright, I bought the materials. I have enough to make 25 end link kits. Well, almost. Besides the bushings. I bought enough of those to make three kits. I'm just testing out the material for now. They're spring lock washers. Stainless steel of course.

They're called "high collar", so they're taller than usual. 1/8" to be exact. They fit around the bolt nicely with an inside diameter of .385 and they have an outside diameter of .55". They're thicker than an 1/8", so they should withstand the forces at play.

I'll use one of these near the head of the bolt and two of these near the sway bar attachment point and lower control arm attachment point. This should provide enough space to maintain the clearances. I have to look up the proper torque for that side and material of hardware too.

Looks like the problem will be solved, but I'm not 100% sure yet. The price on these things isn't that bad either, so I can still offer the end links for the price I mentioned. That is if all goes well. I might get everything on Sat., but most likely it'll get here on Mon.

I'll install everything and report back with the results ASAP. Wish me luck!

Thanks.

I've been kinda reviewing this latest plan in my head and it looks like it'll work. I also found the proper torque for this combination of hardware. It's 47 foot pounds.

Allright, here's an update. I received the new hardware. It's kick-ass. I torqued it down to 47 foot pounds and it won't budge. That's the good part. The bad part is that I'm still getting some sort of noise from the end links. They work perfectly, but something is happening. I think it's the fact that there's no jam nut to keep the angles as they should be. Although I'm afraid that once I get a jamb nut on there I'll still have that noise. One step at a time though I guess.

If I still do get a noise after putting a jam nut on, then I think I'll be searching for a rubber cover of some sort. That will prevent the noise from occuring. I guess that's why Hotchkis chose those polyurethane spacers? ??? Although their design allows for more flex. As it is now, my design is superior for racing. That is if you can stand that clicking. I'll fix it though. Wish me luck!

Edit: After further consideration I bought the jam nuts and some neoprene o-rings for cushioning that movement. I think this will be enough, but we'll know for sure when I get the materials.

Most likely they will if the next parts that I receive solve the noise problem. I'm 50/50 on this one though.

You won't break them unless you use huge bolt cutters to rip through the grade 8 steel. I can't guarantee anything yet though 'cause I'm not finished with the testing or the development for that matter. The point is to make them indestructable, so I'll keep on developing them until they're just that.

just thought of something... now the piece that screws in together, you know where you can adjust the height... shouldnt there be a nut on there to keep it stiff, kinda like the rear camber kit? I mean whats gunna keep that from twisting? no what I mean?

well, since both sides are attached to bars, unless yoour whole anti-roll bar or lower control arm suddenly rotates then the end link is not gonna move.

yeah but I think a nut on there would tighten everything up, I mean... some times if 1 nut is on a bolt its kinda loose, but once 2 nuts are butted up against each other its a lot stiffer... Lets see what grey thinks since he is making them....
