Wow, that's a weird place for it to break. I guess there was a pulling force on it, or something... ???
Anyway, I finally received my lug nut key today! I installed the newest design up front and tested it out. Here's a picture...
I'm not sure if I'm happy with this design yet. I have to drive on it a little more. Only then will I be able to tell if it's sound.
On a side note... I also installed a set of my endlinks in the back onto the Progress mounting kit. I used a neoprene washer like the previous design had instead of the felt washer. It works very well. Everything is perfect. That will be the final design for the kit meant for people with the Progress mounting kit.

Allright, I drove around and I didn't like it. The felt is too hard as a cushioning material and you can hear thunks when going over bumps. Instead, I replaced the felt with two of those neoprene o-rings. I installed them tonight and I went for a test drive. Everything is fine. This seems to be the best design. I'll do some more testing tomorrow and if everything is okay I'll write up some instructions and ship out your kits (the people who pre-ordered).

I was guessing that felt would not offer enough support? But as long as you tested and you like the neoprene, I know I will like the neoprene.
Good good... I was mostly working on adjusting my valve clearance though. I only had enough time to take a drive around the block. Everything seems fine, but I want to drive out to Boston tomorrow (about 100 miles there and back) and see if the design is truly sound. Then I'll disassemble everything and look for any signs of trouble. If everything checks out then I should be able to ship you guys your endlink by thursday.
i was looking at the diffrence between the front and rear links and i noticed that the front are half the size as the front? will the endlinks u send us be the same size or will they be diffrent like the rear?
