Has anyone heard about this car coming to the states? I just read on a website that it was coming to the states.

anythings possible, but i really doubt it. The european civic type r retails for 18,000 pounds in Europe. Thats basically $36,000 us. No one in the US will pay $40k for a civic.

Europe and asia are completely different markets compared to the US. They care more about good mpg and handling versus HP and image.

I work for a supplier for HONDA OF AMERICA in Marysville, OH.
In 2009 Honda is bringing out a NEW car to fill the gap between the FIT/JAZZ and the Civic. Seeing how the civic has grown up over the years. The code they call it right now is 2NX (I think). So not totaly sure as to what it looks like but their is something coming.

I beleive one of the best things Honda could do right now is put out a dependable, stylish, RWD or AWD drive car at a decent price.

its the jdm type R civic. All civics in japan are 4dr now.
