Re: 12 Volt signal wire

My layout on the fog light switch is as follows: They aren't labeled unfortunately (pin 5 is under pin 4 not pin 1)

1 2 3 4
5

Pin 1: Switch Off: No Continuity
Switch On: Continuity on number 3 (0 ohms), number 5 (25 ohms)

Pin 2: Switch Off: No Continuity
Switch On: No Continuity

Pin 3: Switch Off: continuity on pin 5 (25 ohms)
Switch On:continuity on pin 1 (5 ohms), continuity on pin 5 (25 ohms)

Pin 4: Switch Off: No Continuity
Switch On: No Continuity

Pin 5: Switch Off: Continuity Pin 4 (25 ohms)
Switch On: Continuity pin 1 (25 ohms), continuity on pin 3 (25 ohms)

Hopefully this is what you were looking for, sorry once again for the confusion. I am a newb with electricity.

Re: 12 Volt signal wire

i'll have to look at the schematic when i get home, but it looks like 1 and 3 may be the mechanical contact of the switch. what wire colors are on them?

Re: 12 Volt signal wire

blue wire should be the low volt trigger coming from the headlamp lo beam switch. when its hot, the switch becomes functional. so this only allows fog usage when lo beams are on. when park lights or hi beams are used, lo beam turns off and so does the blue trigger.
