2004 Honda Civic EX, Need electrical help

Alright, well as i recently found out, the "auxiliary" socket is definitely not a cigarette lighter. I am going to purchase a real Cigarette Lighter at a junkyard, does anyone know how to get the stock socket out of the console itself? It is not just a simple push to get it out.. Re: 2004 Honda Civic EX, Need electrical help

i wonder if the plastic can take the heat? or if the stock wires are big enough for the current draw of a cigarette lighter?

It's the same wiring if you order the ashtray & lighter kit ( I put one in my 05 ) no I don't smoke, just like the lighted ashtray and ring around the lighter.

I tried to take the old acc socket out and failed, it is super tight. You may have to use a Dremel and carefully cut the socket.
