i was wondering what the best or easiest way to hardwire my radar detector is? i have a 98 civic hx and was thinking of running it through the head liner to the dome light because my dome light is burnt out or if there is a easy way to hard wire it to the battery

straight through the firewall underneath the driver side to the battery. Ground somewhere inside tho. That's how i hardwired mine. You should use automotive tape to protect the wire and just route it to the battery around areas that build up heat.
I made my cigarette lighter a constant power source (charge cell phones) and took the original power wire from there (turns on/off with key) and ran my radar detector cord off of that.
