My reverse lights are not working,

I bought new bulbs but still nothing

so my next step is to locate the sensor for the reverse lights, is there a sensor ?

or is there a particualr fuse to search for

my car is an 01 honda civic w/ automatic transmission...

There is a switch on the transmission.

Fuse #10 = 7.5 Amps in under dash fuse box.

Wire color for reverse lights circuit is GRN.

A possibility is the wire in the black plastic loom that moves when trunk is opened/closed may have broken. The loom has tape around it but can be opened. Locate the green wire inside up near the trunk and give the wire a slight pull to see if it moves. If it moves easy it is broken from flexing.

Any luck with this issue vtec concept? I'm in the same situation, I have a 02 sedan and just recently noticed the reverse light not working. I'm not sure when it stopped working but recently I did just install a new head unit/car stereo. I took the necessary precautions and disconnected the battery for the install as well. First my right reverse only worked every now and then. I tried swapping the left and right reverse bulbs to see if the issue was with the bulb or wiring. When i first did the swap the bulb originally in the left was working when plugged in the right and the bulb originally in the right was not working in the left. I was happy thinking it was just the bulb but when i swapped them back now even the one that was originally in the left stopped working.

I haven't tried buying new bulbs yet because if the right reverse light is some how blowing out the bulbs I wouldn't want to put brand new bulbs in it and have it just kill it. Can any help us out on this? I've searched the forums and this post seems to be the closest match to my situation.

Went ahead and replaced the blubs with the standard 7440's anyways. So far so good. My reverse lights are back.

mightve just been bad/old bulbs. ive had some fall apart for no reason. also there is a ground point under the cover that goes around the trunk latch. you may want to check that for corrosion.

Everything is is running fine now, guess both bulbs just blew right about the same time. you can use the bluevision as plate lights, front park lights, or dome lights. anywhere that has 194 style bulb.
