SRS light on? Maint Req light on?

I have a '01 SI and the problem is when a long time ago, when I put in my stereo I took out the seats (i have the side bag option) and I disconnected the wires like no big deal. I got everything done, reconnected my wires and the SRS light was on. Never went off. I've double and triple checked the wires under my seat, everything is in order, so I don't understand. Does something need to get reset?

Then I was running a thousand over for my oil change, and the maintence required light came on. I changed the oil myself, and the light still remains on. Again, do I have to reset something or what?

Thanks for any help

Your SRS light will come on if you started the car, or even if you had the battery connected while you had your seats disconnected. here is the DIY on how to reset the SRS light:
Reset Your SRS Light

As for the CEL, I dont have time to dig that one up ATM.

Hmm, well thanks because I don't think I could fix it myself.

I might just take it in..

Re: SRS light on? Maint Req light on?

For the airbag light, I'd try a battery reset:
Unhook negative battery cable, leave it unhooked for 20 minutes.
Unhook positive cable, touch the posi & neg cables together for a couple of seconds.
Hook both cables back up to battery. Cross your fingers.

As far as the maintenance light is concerned:
1. Make sure ignition is switched OFF.
2. Press and hold pushbutton to lower right of speedometer.
3. Turn ignition to ON (no need to start engine though).
4. Keep holding that pushbutton, after about 10 seconds the maint req'd light should clear.
5. Release button and turn ignition OFF.
