Exclamation Problems With My Hid!!!!

I bought new set of lights from eBay for my 07 Civic!! So I went to a garage to get them installed. Few hours later, they call me and told me that everything is installed, but my low beam HID lights dont work They said that something might be either wrong with the ballasts or the lightbulbs. Personally, I dont think that a problem, because both of them dont work, what are the chances of that happening? I just want to ask what might be the problem, could it be the grounding or something like that?

Thank you in advance, greatly appreciate it.

Re: Problems With My Hid!!!!

no way to answer this without you doing some troubleshooting first. are they connected right? are you using a relay harness? (i hope you are so you don't catch your car on fire) have you tested them by connecting them directly to the battery? did the shop put them in right? etc. need more info to help.

Re: Problems With My Hid!!!!

It seems like they are connected right. The guy who is working in the garage is really stupid I have to say, he is supposed to be a specialist but doesnt know how to fix it or atleast say what the actual problem might be. He never tested them by connecting them directly to the battery!!! Basically my main concern is, is it really the ballasts or the bulbs that dont work, i mean both of them, and they are brand new from the box!!!! If it is i really wouldnt want to send it back to the seller and then wait for the new ones to come, its a hasle and takes too long!!!

Re: Problems With My Hid!!!!

he could have wired them wrong. if you reverse the polarity, you'll blow the fuse.

Re: Problems With My Hid!!!!

you would have been better off just getting a PNP kit and using the stock housings. the 8th gen's have a pretty good cutoff already. would have saved a bunch of money too.
