Erratic central locking 96 Civic LSi

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Over the past few months my central locking has been locking and unlocking by itself now and again. Since yesterday, it will do it continuously - whether I'm in the car or not. I've had to disconnect the battery, just so it doesn't do it throughout the night!. Was hoping someone had dealt with this before and knew what the problem was. The locks of all 4 doors will lock and unlock, and did notice a wierd 'grinding/fizzing' sound before when the locks were intermitant. Relay switch problem? Any ideas would be marvellous! thanks

I have a 96 Civic Coupe LSi which is doing the exact same thing, did you ever find an answer?

No else seems to have an answer for this problem

What country is the lsi? If it is like the US model with the remote locking going through the radio, I would try to reprogram the system.

It is a UK model.

Not sure if it goes through the radio
