Kenwood XXV-02A for $150 a good deal??

Hey folks, I just bought a 25th anniversary edition Kenwood XXV-02A off a guy at work for $150. This thing is brand new, never been used, but I wanted to know if anyone else is running this amp and if I got as good a deal as I think I did.

I can't find anywhere that still has it in-stock. Crutchfield used to carry them, here's the link:
Kenwood amp on Crutchfield

And the specs and the pictures:

# 4-channel car amplifier
# 88 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (124 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)
# 240 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
# variable high- and low-pass filters (50-200 Hz, 24 dB/octave low-pass, 12 dB/octave high-pass)
# subsonic filter for rear channels (0/15 Hz, 24 dB/octave)
# AMS (Amplifier Management System): -15 to 15 dB bass level control, Q factor control, bass/treble frequency control
# aluminum electrolytic capacitors
# high-speed Linear Amplitude Power Transistors (LAPT)
# cooling fan
# LED status display (voltage, current, temperature, fan speed)
# CEA-2006 compliant
# preamp outputs
# Tri-way capable (Tri-Way Crossover required)
# 2-, 3-, or 4-channel output
# fuse rating: 30A x 2

I also picked up a set of Kenwood Excelon X1700P also brand new off of him for $100. These I'm pretty sure are a good deal, but I will probably have to do some custom work so they'll fit in the door panels of the old Civic.

Here are the specs:

# component speaker system includes two 6-3/4" woofers, 2 tweeters, and 2 crossovers
# adapter rings included for installation in 6-1/2" applications
# carbon/polypropylene hybrid woofer with butyl rubber surround
# 1" Tetlon soft dome tweeter
# flush and surface mounting hardware
# external crossover network
# tweeter protection circuit
# 3-point tweeter attenuation (0,-2,-4 dB)
# power range: 8-55 watts RMS (220 watts peak power)
# frequency response: 35-30,000 Hz
# sensitivity: 92 dB
# top-mount depth: 2-7/16"

I will be running the components and my Kenwood KFC-x6900 6x9s off this amp, so it should have a nice sound to it. He threw in an off-brand 1.5 Farad cap for my subs too. Now I just need a decent mono amp and I'll be good to go!

Anyway all you car stereo nuts, let me know what you think.

Never had a complaint with eXcelon equipment. Amp looks hot.

WOW, everyplace that sells that amp doesnt have a price. Obviously its discountinued.

Found a few places that have it:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...n+XXV-02A.html ($349.99)
http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/6181 (239.00)
http://audiovideodimension.com/index...roducts_id=994 (259.99)

So yeah, I'd say you got a good price.

Cool, thanks for the legwork Triz. I did see one on a UK site for 319 pounds ($640 USD equivalent), and I'm tempted to sell it on ebay.co.uk to make a profit and then buy the guy's other one.
