Pushing dash back in??? Why is this so annoying

Okay, so it's like one problem after the other
  1. Didn't have power cable adapter for my old cd player
  2. Got the cable adapter and then i plugged in and it worked for like 5 seconds, turned it off, tried to put in, and it wouldnt turn on
  3. found out it was a blown fuse, and had to go to walmart to replace it
  4. Finally set everything up with my new USB adapter and everything is working, but now the dash won't close

So here I am, at the last part of this escapade of putting in my cd player, and it wont go in..... everything is like fine, the cd player is on the bottom since it clearly wouldn't fit on top..... So I get it to where like 3 of the 4 clips are clipped, but the last one is telling me to f*** off.....

This is so annoying it's just beyond comprehension, although I am happy to see that the cd player is working with the usb adapter....(my stupid Sony 1gb walkman won't work with it though since you can't play music while it's charging, which is what the walkman thinks it's doing when i plug it in to the usb adapter) I now need to find one of my many flash drives, which is also annoying

Isn't it everytime you need a flashdrive you can't find it, but when you don't need it, there it is hangin off your keys, or on the computer, or on the kitchen table, having laid there for over 6 months.....

Murphy's law aye?

So anyways, have any of you guys had this problem before?

Re: Pushing dash back in??? Why is this so annoying

haha... ummm idk, it's a 2004 honda civic... that's about all I know.... and when i put it in top last time, when i was pushing it in, something went snap and i heard it drop, and so thats why i'm not applying too much pressure....i think it was just a crimp, but idk.... ummm and yeah, i'm gonna have to get a dash thing, cuz i had to take the bottom hole thing, and put it on top.... i had to turn it upsidedown also so it would screw in...... it's really ghetto, but idk where to find a think to go in the 7 inch by 9 gaping hole to allow me to put in my cd player without doing it weird......

i saw some of the dash kits at walmart, but idk about those.... anyone try those or wat, cuz i mean, i really dont need it, since my cd player wont even be opened... just on random the whole time playing 15,000 songs

so yeah

Don't know if it's the same, but possibly try an EX model double din kit. I put a pocket in the top when I flip-flopped mine for visibility. The civic is gone now, or I'd take pics. I never tried a kit in the SE dash, so IDK.

I doubt Wal-mart carries Metra Kits. Go to their website www.metraonline.com and you can find it there.

Re: Pushing dash back in??? Why is this so annoying

Circuit City is where I got my Metra Install Kit ... I skipped getting a wiring harness because I think circuit city wants you to buy 2 of them, at around $20 each. So screw paying $40, plus the install kit ($20) for a total of $60+radio ... but the install kit was only $20 at circuit city.
