HO Alt's dont fit Canadian civics?

i been reading some threads on here and suppliers are saying HO alt's only fit on u.s civics? is this true? anyone from canada got a civic wit a HO alt'? To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

i would think that the engines are the same... unles syou have some sort of extra accessory that i dont know about.

in theory if the casings are the same for both stock alternators.. it should fit no problem.

how so? is the mounting different somehow?

i just find it a little hard to believe honda would change an engine just for the canada model. or there could be like a bunch of random holes that can be used to mount the alternator. perhaps the pulley size is different?

either way, i think theres a way to get one on there if you tried hard enough. but it might become expensive if you have to replace stuff.
