Like it says, Im going to try to attempt this. I have an 01 EX coupe with a K20A2 and the RSX-S ECU, but all the wiring to the gauge cluster is still civic EX wiring, so this should work for all civic EX at least. Before people start bashing...I have already searched and I know that there are a lot of posts inquiring about this. I have an 01 EX coupe with a K20A2 and the RSX-S ECU, but all the wiring to the gauge cluster is still civic EX wiring, so this should work for all civic EX at least. I am actually going to attempt it though, instead of ask questions and do nothing. I have purchased the gauge cluster and think I have the wiring figured out. It will probably be summertime by the time I can mess with making it aesthetically look nice though. If I can get it to work properly first, thats half of it. Then I will work on mounting and making it look nicer. BTW: I know Kazell used to do these back in the day, but I dont believe it has been done in quite awhile. Also, any help or advice on this build will be greatly appreciated and maybe help people out to do something custom like this again. One question I am a bit worried about though is the legality of swapping gauges, so if any of you know FOR SURE, the law about any of this, please chime in and help a member out. THANKS and hopefully this goes well.

i would think the easiest way to do this would be to go to a junk yard and see about getting the harness for the dash since you are running the ecu and gauges? just my 2 pennies so if they arent worth that sorry.
Yeah, I just recieved the gauges today. I think I can figure the wiring out, so like you said, now I am looking for the RSX cluster harnesses to hook to the back of the gauge cluster, and then wire them to my exisiting civic cluster harness wires. BTW, does anyone have any pictures of these harnesses or know what colors they are?? Thanks.!!
I actually just got a hold of the harnesses that come off the back of the cluster....Im gonna wire these into the civic ones that come out of the dash. I checked clearance and mounting of the RSX cluster in the civic dash, and it fits well. The bezel of course has some issues, but Im going to try to use the civic bezel, but trim it to fit with the RSX cluster. Next step will be to wire and test it, and to figure out the mounting. Then the bezel.
Now that the wiring is figured out, does anyone have a bezel sitting around they want to get rid of?? Let me know.....an RSX bexel would be helpful as well
Nice dude. I was eyeballing this mod recently. Can you post some pics of the cluster itself, front and back too? Document the dash retrofit with pictures!!! Lemme dish you out some repaged for being a go-getter and doing a decent mod
Ill get some pics of the front and back and the RSX-S harness when I get a chance. And thanks for the support.....I also just modified and RSX-S AEM V2 SRI to work as a CAI for my k20a2 swap. I looked it over and thought it could work, and it did. I guess I could have bought a CAI, but modifying what i had to make it work was more fun, plus it sita a little higher up I think.
HAHA, I hope it will look sexy. Grad school = not much mod time. But you may have to wait until the summertime when I have more time myself, and more downtime for the civic. The wire is figured out, but its the mounting and aesthetic mods that are going to take some time and finesse. Dont worry though, I will surely update as I roll along with this into the summer!!
