TYC foil flaking

Was having problems with my tyc projectors. Pulled them apart and noticed the foil on the passenger side projector was all wrinkled and flaking off. Any one else had this problem? Or know how to fix it? Was thinking retrofitting would probably be the best/easiest but probably costly. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: TYC foil flaking

those tycs suck. when i opened mine. the turn signal reflector (chrome) had turned black and looked burnt. and the crappy sylvania bulbs had half peeled away from the orange. i didnt have a prob with projectors but i believe it. cheap crap.

Re: TYC foil flaking

I dont like the projectors in the TYC, good platform to retro though. Looks pretty cool. I got a really good deal on the chromes and couldnt pass it up. Looks OEM now, gives the front a really nice look to it, but in the event that mine peel, i'm sanding and painting them. Was thinking about painting just the bottom flat part the body color.
